Michele Giavini ha ottenuto da ISWA la certificazione “International Waste Manager” al massimo livello (International Level).
Il programma di ISWA è stato sviluppato per fornire una certificazione riconosciuta a livello internazionale per esperti nella gestione dei rifiuti, a seconda dei risultati accademici e dell’esperienza lavorativa.

ISWA – The International Solid Waste Association – is an international, independent and non-profit making association, working in the public interest to promote and develop sustainable waste management worldwide. ISWA has members around the world and is the only worldwide association promoting sustainable and professional waste management. The Association is open to individuals and organisations from the scientific community, public institutions and public and private companies from all over the world working in the field of and interested in waste management.
In 2005 ISWA launched its certification on professional qualifications. The certification programme is designed to provide an internationally recognized certification for individual professional waste managers based on their academic achievements and their practical work experience. This certification is awarded at four levels:
- International
- Advanced
- Intermediate
- Technical
Michele Giavini has recently gained the International Waste Manager qualification , with the “International” status.
